ABOUT THE AWARD

On December 3, 2026, in Milan, Sustainability Leaders Milan will host the first SLM Impact Award 2026, an award dedicated to companies that have turned sustainability goals into concrete projects that are already underway and supported by measurable results.

We are looking for initiatives that show what sustainability looks like in practice: improving processes, reducing consumption and emissions, rethinking products and supply chains, improving working conditions, or creating value for local communities.

Four winning projects, one for each category, will be selected and awarded during Sustainability Leaders Milan. Each winner will also have the opportunity to present their project on stage.

Circular economy & resource efficiency

For projects that reduce resource consumption and preserve the value of products, materials, and components for longer.

Examples: Ecodesign, reuse, repair, remanufacturing, recycling, waste reduction, or new circular business models.

Climate action: mitigation and adaptation

For projects that make a tangible contribution to reducing emissions or improving a company’s ability to adapt to the effects of climate change.

Relevant areas include energy efficiency, renewable energy, electrification, heat recovery, production process innovation, low-emission mobility and logistics, decarbonization, and climate resilience.

Responsible supply chain and procurement

For initiatives that improve sustainability and transparency across the value chain.

Examples include supply chain traceability, ESG supplier assessments, supply chain decarbonization programs, certified raw materials, human rights protection, risk management, and supplier collaboration programs.

People, communities and social impact

For projects focused on people both within and outside the organization.

This category includes initiatives related to health and safety, inclusion, equal opportunities, employee well-being, training, skills development, work-life balance, support for vulnerable people, and engagement with local communities.

ELIGIBILITY

The SLM Impact Award is designed to recognize projects that have already moved beyond the planning stage. To be eligible, a project must:

have reached at least an operational pilot stage;

provide verifiable results or evidence from the past 24 months.

Projects that are still only planned, ordinary compliance activities without demonstrated improvement, or purely communication-based campaigns will not be considered.

WHAT WINNERS WILL RECEIVE

One winning project will be selected for each category. The four winners will receive:

3 months of free access to Metrikflow;

the opportunity to present their project on stage at Sustainability Leaders Milan;

the official SLM Impact Award 2026 plaque;

3 complimentary tickets to Sustainability Leaders Milan;

a dedicated article on the Metrikflow blog highlighting the project and its results;

a dedicated LinkedIn post on Metrikflow’s channels.

An opportunity to give visibility to initiatives that are already delivering concrete results and to share experiences that can inspire other companies.
